How to use the subtitle editor
Step 1: Upload a video
- Click “Choose a video file” and select a video from your device.
- Any formats are supported, but if the video is not MP4 — it will be converted automatically.
- Wait until upload and processing are complete. You will see the video on the page.
Step 2: Upload a subtitles file (.srt)
- After the video is uploaded, the subtitles file chooser becomes available.
- Upload the `.srt` file that you generated in our system — subtitles will automatically appear in the editor.
- During playback, the current subtitle will be shown for editing.
- Pause the video to change the subtitle text.
Step 3: Download or embed subtitles
- Click “Download subtitles” to save your changes to a `.srt` file.
- Click “Embed subtitles into video” to burn subtitles into the video. After that, a download link for the new file will appear.
Notes
- Subtitle editing happens locally in your browser — your changes are saved only when you download.
- If you refresh the page, the video file will remain uploaded unless it was manually removed.
- For best results, use modern browser versions: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.
